HOW TO DO IT
Set the pulley to its lowest position, attach a handle or straight bar and stand facing away from the machine with the cable beside or between your legs.
Brace your abs and keep a slight bend in the elbows.
Raise the handle in front of you to shoulder height.
Lower it in about two seconds, stopping just before the weight stack touches down.
COMMON MISTAKES
- Leaning back to swing the weight up; stand tall and reduce the load.
- Shrugging the shoulders toward the ears; keep the shoulders down as the arms rise.
TIPS
- Take a small step forward so the cable is already under tension at the bottom of each rep.
